Ranthambore National Park Visiting Information

Ranthambore National Park is open to visitors from October 1st to June 30th each year. The park is closed from July to September due to the rainy season. The ideal time to visit is between November and April when the weather is mild, providing a comfortable experience while observing wildlife.

During the open season, the park offers two safaris daily—one in the morning and another in the late afternoon. Generally, the morning safari begins about half an hour after sunrise, while the evening safari ends approximately half an hour before sunset. Safari timings vary slightly every two months, and each safari lasts between three to three and a half hours.

In the summer, daytime temperatures in Ranthambore can reach 45°C, while overnight temperatures can dip to 2°C. Daytime temperatures in winter are pleasantly mild, ranging from 16-20°C, making it an ideal time for exploration.

After the monsoon season, the park becomes lush and green, attracting a variety of migratory birds. Although the wind chill in the early morning or late evening can be noticeable, wearing appropriate clothing will keep you comfortable. Summer, despite the heat, can also be a rewarding time to visit as animals are more visible around lakes and watering holes, driven by their thirst.

Prepare for varying weather conditions and enjoy the rich wildlife and scenic beauty of Ranthambore National Park.
